The Organization For People With Universities (hereafter, the Organization ) recognizes the importance of protecting the personal information of users of the site and the service, and in addition to complying with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, has established the following privacy policy.
1. Definition of personal information
In this privacy policy, personal information means the information concerning existing individuals, including the information that identifies the individual such as name and date of birth, and the email address, user ID, password, and so on of the specific individual.
2. Use and purpose of personal information
The organization uses the personal information it collects for the following purposes.
a. User identification and authentication service
b. Responding to support requests and enquiries
c. Posting information and content submitted by subscribers
d. Notification of matters necessary for administration of the service
e. News gathering, questionnaires, reporting news etc. where applicable
f. Sending of returns and the like
g. Devising ways to improve the service and user convenience
3. Disclosure of personal information
The organization can provide personal information it has collected to a third party where permitted by the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act, and in the following cases.
a. With the consent of the owner
b. If disclosure is required by a court, public prosecutor’s office, the police, a tax office or other similarly privileged institution
c. If part of the service is entrusted to a third party
4. Disclosure of personal information
The organization will disclose the personal information to the subscriber without delay when requested to do so by the subscriber. However, the organization can decline to disclose some or all of it pursuant to the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act.
5. Correction of personal information
If the organization is requested by a subscriber to correct, supplement or delete personal information on the grounds that it is incorrect, the organization will confirm that the request is from the subscriber himself/herself , perform the necessary investigation and corrections, and notify the subscriber in person .
6. Updating the privacy policy
The organization may revise the privacy policy if necessary in response to its handling of private information, revision of the Personal Information Protection Act and so on. The revised privacy policy will be published on the site.
